Our Programs
Acting. Vocals. Instruments. Dance. MCCA runs the gamut by providing programs for all kinds of expressive creatives. See which programs appeal to your or your child below!
MainStage: Pre-professional theatrical workshop for all ages. Participants go through intensive and comprehensive training, and many of them go on to college and major in theater, musical theater, or opera.
UpStage: For ages ranging from high school to adult. Learn and revitalize theatrical skills in an ensemble, community theater environment. In true repertory fashion, UpStage casts participate in all facets of a production.
CenterStage: A middle school theater program. This class explores facets of character development, stage movement, and interpretation in an atmosphere of camaraderie and respect.
Little Starz: An elementary theatrical performance group that encourages team building while teaching basic theatrical knowledge.
Friendship Choir: A new vocal music program for members of our community with developmental delays. Stay tuned for more information about this program!
Synergy: A youth choir for 5th - 7th grades that explores diverse musical styles with the basics of harmony and movement.
Whippersnappers: A youth choir for ages K-4th grade where singers learn the basics of musicality and harmony while exploring diverse musical styles.
Vocal Fusion: An audition-only ensemble designed for high school and college age singers.
Class Voice: A program specifically developed for those who are not currently enrolled in private voice lessons. Learn the essential basics of good vocal hygiene and technique. Participants will learn how to analyze the structure of a song, choose an appropriate song for auditions, and work on memory and presentation skills.
Instrumental Programs
Sforzando (String Ensemble): Open to individuals ages 8-adult. String Theory is an outlet for adult and student musicians to build and hone their skills. All participants will have the opportunity to perform.
Dance Programs
Gotta Dance!: Dancers of all ages are instructed in the fundamentals of dance spanning an exciting mix of Broadway jazz, ballet, tap, and hip-hop. These classes have been developed to fit the specific needs of people interested in musical theater, without the demands of preparing for competition.
